I was reading a book about bullying to The Twitches last night, thinking about how much bullying has affected the lives of my own children. Bullies, the book says, can be boys or girls, children or adults. They bully because they don’t like themselves, because they want to feel powerful. Heh. “Do you feel like a man when you push her around?” the song says… Emo Boy was taunted as “gay” for wearing a leather jacket to school. Enigma is battling the bullies now... 

As in any good relationship that has gone on for five years (give or take), a good friend will call you days after an obscure blog reference to chit chat about what your random muse of that day was (in between screaming, “BUT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE LINES!” as she sweats to death in her car, stuck in traffic behind one of those trucks that Max sells to paint lines on pavement. See how my web weaves itself together?). I have such a friend, who calls me to comment on my blog.... 

I am home. I have recuperated from the trip (I think) and I’m back to business. So far, I’ve gotten all the kiddos to school, got my yoga on, showered and consumed a green smoothie. Oh, and I may have gotten “the eye” from a mom at the preschool. We were wearing matching purple bandanas and kept catching each other looking at, uh, each other. Tee hee. So, this marks the beginning of April, a month that is supposed to be full of fun and celebration for me. I can only think... 

Upon daydreaming about what I’ll be doing in fall I woke up to the knowledge that the last week was, in fact, spent screwing around and not focusing enough on what will be months of having my writing and thoughts criticized. Evidently, my entire study plan had to be reworked in order to not be too broad, and make sense beyond what I had already thought made sense, and contain more heterosexual authors (bwahahaha!) Perhaps taking on any new clients at this time is a bad idea. The crowd says,... 

…but not. Its a short week, so I’m already behind. That’s cool, the weekend was totally worth it. We went to see my belly dance teacher’s troupe dance on Saturday and the kids were fairly impressed, which was cool. I was very impressed, of course. I’m still on a March high. I can’t explain it, but its there. But, its back to reality time and there is homework to do, papers to write, laundry to finish and appointments to keep.
