Mother’s Day has never been my favorite holiday, for various reasons. Its just been a blah day, especially since my mom passed and I’ve had a series of “partners” who just don’t get my need for something to make those days slightly special. I don’t mean gifts. I can buy my own cack. I’m really good at that, in fact. My Mother’s Day was spent with my kids and Freedom, with my brother and his girlfriend, down on “their” farm. I’ve not... 

In case you haven’t heard, the winter powers-that-be determined that Saturday would be a fine day to dump 5 years’ worth of snow on the DC area. I believe our total is between 18″ – 19″ of snow, and some areas are worse. Its crazy, like mountains of shoveled snow perfect for snow forts like I used to make back when I lived in Cleveland, after it had been snowing for months… not just a day. We are pretty much shoveled out, thanks to The Husband’s determination... 

Sometimes, there are words that feel weird as I type them out. Among those words, is the phrase, “I played football,” because, really, I’m just not sporty. But, I was absolutely willing to test out a product from ZeloSport when they asked, because I’m all about new experiences. ZeloSport has taken “finger football” to new levels with their crazy-accurate tabletop (or floor) game of football. They even have baseball, soccer and golf, but I didn’t try those... 

My thoughts from late last night: I don’t want today to end. I never, ever want the feeling of being part of something so important, so needed, to ever end. My rainbow bandana, my symbol to the masses that I fully support everybody’s rights to marry, to love, to be as equal as I am under the eyes of the law. Equality.
