When my life (and this blog) went into Bizarro World around February and I was no longer able to make sense of anything, the songs stopped. The songs that had been stalking me, with a few exceptions, stopped stalking me (and I did breathe a sigh of relief, because its hard to function when you walk into a grocery store and have to wonder what type of yogurt Madonna is telling you to buy). In my hoo-doo, quasi-psychic way, I get a lot of information from the radio and other venues of musical inspiration, so I figured that the past few months of song drought were just a time for me to go with the freaky flow and learn what I could, on my own (favorite song from Les Mis, get it?).

Plus, there was that whole Saturn/Uranus thing *twitch* (lessons learned, though!).

I do feel a need to mention that while I may not have blogged many specifics about Bizarro World 2010, I have each and every detail memorized and at some point, I will release the details of the events that led me to several conclusions… particularly those involving relationships (4 chances to score, none taken), alcohol (does gluten-free vodka ring a bell?), fairy tales (I believe again, so shut it) and realities of humanity (some people never evolve). Oh, and olives, of course (yum!).

In the past week, the song stalking has begun again. Different times, places, types of transmission… these songs are stalking me. So, its time to decipher them, my friends, because its not like you have anything else to do.

Maybe the only tolerable Maroon5 song in the world… or not…

So, is it my secret love for office supplies? Perhaps its my returning adoration of all things Webtastic. Maybe someone has a secret crush on me and they’re too busy making it fun to let me in on the joke. What do YOU think?

    Here’s what I think. You are one lucky broad to have those songs stalking you. You know what’s been in my head? Cheesy love songs. “I’m all out of love, I’m so lost without you.” “You don’t bring me flowers, you don’t sing me love songs.” “Island in the stream…” What do these say about me? Pass the brie, please.

    @Michelle Zive,

    Suddenly, I feel a whole lot less crazy. That doesn’t happen often, either. Do we have wine, by the way?
