I must first begin this by saying one of the joys of my life iswhen I’m contacted to do a product review because, well, I like swag then I’m kind of being rewarded for all the work I do to entertain the masses here, and on the other 6 million sites I work on. So, after a hard day of typing, designing, managing and coaching, there is very little I want more than to lay in my comfy bed and luxuriate in fabrics that are disgustingly soft and smooth. Some day, I shall extol the virtues of my latex pillow on this very blog but, today is not that day. Today, I am talking about blankets… baby blankets… enviably soft and silky, yummy baby blankets.

My Blankee is one of those types of blankets that will quite possibly make you want to steal it from you own baby, or even someone else’s baby. It is the softest, smoothest blanket I have ever had the pleasure of holding, and look at that satin ruffly trim! I’m am in swanky Blankee overload! (Awww yeah,  I went there.)  This is the same blanket that celebrities have used for their own children, shielding them from wind, rain and paparazzi. (I, of course, feel their pain)

The story behind My Blankee is just as amazing as the Blankee itself:

Luca Soussan was born on the 23rd of September in 2002. Shortly after his birth, Luca was diagnosed with a skin condition commonly known as Eczema, as well as with Asthma. Due to his condition, his father, Serge Soussan, who has been in the textile and garment business for over 20 years, was inspired to develop a line of hypoallergenic fabrics to accommodate Luca and others who share the same condition. The moment of realization hit when Luca uttered his first words: “my blankee”.

So, its soft, pretty and hypo-allergenic. Oh, and did I mention they’re on sale right now? Yeah, seriously, go stock up and get yourself, I mean, your baby or toddler a bunch of them. Although, if you get enough, you can probably even sew them together into a big, beautiful Blankee for yourself (not that I plan to do that or anything).

Go shopping! Friend them on Facebook or follow their tweets! Tell ‘em I sent you!
