Yes, we’re still here. When last I wrote, there was a significant decline in the amount of “buggies” found. Its a good sign, but I’m not giving up my vigilant anti-bug stance. No ma’ameee Darla (that was “no sireee Bob” in feminist lingo… just go with it). Thursday night: Get the Hell out of Dodge! I decided I was clean enough to go get drinks with some locals. A few crises at work actually determined that I needed to get out, breathe, and step away... 

If I had not given The Enigma a mohawk two weeks ago, Dozer Doodle would not have been asking for a haircut. Granted, she wanted a haircut like Enigma’s, but I’m not willing to do that to my three-year old daughter… yet. That’s a big “yet” because… On Monday, I trimmed Dozer’s hair (shorter than Mary Sunshine’s hair, but not quite as stylish as Enigmas. A chin-length bob. Cute, functional, my Grandmother won’t freak in two weeks when we... 

In preparation for a new project, I have been journeying throughout my local area snapping pictures and getting stories. On Saturday, The Husband suggested we head west to check out some farmer’s markets, and inevitably a winery or two. So, we drove west. I ended up with a case of wine and a winery “club” membership. I don’t really care for wine, but I am a fan of dessert wine. It makes me happy. The wine we sampled was no exception. Blackberry or Raspberry. Club members... 

Every summer, he leaves me for four weeks to spend time with his bio-dad. I spend the first few days manically trying to stay busy so I don’t think about it, and then the next two weeks pretty much fly by, with few phone calls or text messages from either side. I know he’s having fun, and I want him to have fun, so I let him do his thing. Plus, he’s getting older and maybe doesn’t need to be called by his mom three times a day. Then, somewhere around the “two week”...
