Suddenly, I have a life.

It just kind of sneaked up on me, much like my very real need to eat a lot of Greek food. Hello life, meet Melia & have some spanokopita!

I tend to complain a lot about being a geek and the power of the computer to suck me in, but really, when you look at it, I have a bunch of websites I run and daily chores that are all online. Yes, I’m sucked in, but with good reason. Since March, I’ve decided what about working online I like and don’t like, and I’ve made steps (even if not intentionally) to cut out the parts of web design I don’t like. The boring stuff. The kind of jobs that make me cringe and run away, hiding behind tubs of tzatziki.

I’m babbling.

So, this past Memorial Day weekend, I had a visit from my friend, Iggy and her twin boys. There are few things more fun than a couple of sets of twins running around. They even cleaned up the toys so I could vacuum last night. Virgo twins, all four of them. My girls were smart enough to let the boys do the work. We call that “delegating.”

Iggy is a belly dancer (isn’t she just beautiful??), she’s been dancing for as long as I’ve been geeking. She’s also probably the only person I know who understands why its funny as fuck to go bike riding under high-tension power lines (can you hear the crackle??) and she gave me this little gem to ponder for the next decade:

I’ve watched it 3 times since she left and I still hear “Summer Lovin’” in the background.

Iggy showed me some ATS moves, let me play with her zils and left me with a ton of cookies, a cake, a purse, music, pirate cack, her yummy banana bread and a clean floor. I’m not sure how she can top that visit next time.

So, the song of the week?

If you actually try those grog mints, you have to tell me what they taste like. I couldn’t resist buying them but I suspect they’re nasty XD The boys cleaned their room when they got home, too. Whatever they’re on, I hope they keep doing it.

Lal lal hoton pe gori kiska naam hai! It’s not unusual to be loved by anyone…
