My dearest friend, The Q, has been honored by the National Womens History Project in her efforts to “take the lead in saving our planet” by pouring her heart and soul into Fashion, Evolved.

Amanda Quraishi, of Austin, TX, began Fashion, Evolved about a year ago when she saw a need to educate people about sustainable fashion as well as promote those designers who are working toward a kinder, gentler fashion world. She has been an incredible influence on people looking for alternative, earth-friendly fashion, as well as an inspiration to so many others who want to make a difference in the world. She is a determined writer, showing her friends and colleagues that it is possible to follow one’s dreams and make a successful and validating life for oneself, without compromising one’s core values.

Amanda is featured alongside women like Hillary Rodham Clinton, Sally Ride, and a host of other women who are giving their all to ensure a vital, and viable planet.

Congratulations, Q, and I know this is just the first of many, many honors that are coming your way.
