I promised I would blog at least twice a week about my semester and how its going. I have blogger’s block and I have guilt for not holding up my end of the bargain. I’ve been told in the past that one way to get past writer’s block is to write about the block itself. So, here we go.

I chose this book about witch hunts throughout history, across the globe, because it sounded like a really good aspect to add to my semester project on women & mystics. I could not wait to start reading this book and shake my fists at the persecution of women. I think I have discovered the only thing that could have prevented witch hunts: forcing people to read this book. I can’t even name it, because I know that the author put in a lot of time and effort researching the history of witch hunting, and I respect all of the effort that has gone into this volume of knowledge. It has a 30 page bibliography for crying out loud!

I’m stuck. I have one chapter left and I just dread picking it back up. Dread it.

On a funny note, my daughter handed it to me the other day and called it a cookbook. It had something to do with the illustrated cover of people burning at the stake.

Hey, um honey? No one remembers that you promised to keep yourself to a schedule, so your guilt is kind of misplaced on this one. ROFLMAO At least you’re almost through reading the damn thing.

I know no one remembers the promise, but doing it this way gives me some point of reference for when I have to explain my thoughts over the semester. So, I’m really just making myself feel guilty so I’ll get up off my butt and finish writing the damn packet.

I finished the book. Now, to get the rest of this written so I’m not all stressed this weekend :D
