Or Fran, don’t let me forget Fran!

My study this semester is about female mystics in religion, and how they were good enough to be used as oracles, but were not allowed to be church leaders. I have a ton of books to read that encompass Judeo-Christian, Islamic, Earth-based and Eastern faiths – writing by or about these women. I’m excited, I’m nervous, and I’m mostly ready to get moving.

Part of this project will be keeping a journal of my thoughts and experiences with these books and with the discussions that develop as a result of what I am reading. That’s where this blog comes in, because I couldn’t think of a better place to keep my thoughts together than the place I already keep my thoughts together. Its a beautiful relationship, and one that makes it possible for me to have as much electronic noise in my life as possible!
