So, our official “Christmas” isn’t until Sunday when the eldest child returns from his adventure in the great Southern US, but we went ahead and gave out a few presents to the remaining children and one for each of the really big kids – the adults.
I got a breadmaker. The only thing more exciting to me is the other appliances I’ll be opening on Sunday, because as un-festive as kitchen stuff may seem to the rest of the world, I am stoked! I love my kitchen. Maybe a little too much, since I tend to spend all of my time in there, working, studying… hiding or heating up my cold hands by really “cooking” food.
The husband and I have spent the past hour kind of knocking each other out of the way watching the breadmaker do its thing. There is nothing more exciting than watch… WAIT, it just came on again, hang on!!
Ahem.
There is nothing more exciting than peering into a 3×3 window, watching a ball of dough form. Really. Those holiday cards I need to send out can wait, and that bathroom that needs to be cleaned? Bah! This is Christmas! I can watch bread all fucking day if I want.
I am so cool.

Yes, oh bread. Dear bread, how I love thee.
Honestly, I dream of jalapeno cheese bread sometimes. Josie (my Rhodie) got ahold of it and had the worst poop ever…must’ve been pretty painful. LOL But she still ate the whole damn thing, it’s that good. And it comes in a box, which I shall be sending you at the first available opportunity! (Hopefully it will be more edible than the caramel.)
Enjoy playing!
